Jon Maker and I have been doing the warm up duties at Ultraplay for the past year now, and have been playing extended sets of up to 5/6 hours but now it’s finally time for us to take the headline slot and blast out the music that we are known to play & love…TECHNO!

Leading on from the hugely successful 2011 blast off party, ULTRAPLAY prepare to keep the energy flowing into February with yet another smashing line-up…

We are very proud to announce that our residents, MAKER + MEYER (The Lab), will be taking the centre stage this time. The duo have been responsible for warming up the party every month for the past year now, and to celebrate, we will be showcasing their talent at peak time!

Following the success of their debut live set at Adam Beyer’s Drumcode warehouse party last September, the duo are now highly in demand for their production skills, which have been well crafted over the years through their understanding of classical music. The combination between performer and composer can be heard within their energetic music, leaving every performance as unique as the last. Expect to hear some real driving and tough techno from these two!

Next up, we have the brilliant Lisbon DJ, ZORION (Organix), who will be bringing you his warm tech-house beats to the Cafe once again. Paul Oakenfold and Daniele Davolli voted him the Portuguese winner of an international DJ competition a few years back, and since then he has gone on to spin alongside the likes of Timo Maas, Pete Tong, Ferry Corsten, Sander Kleinenberg, and Gwill Morris to name a few… He now lives in London where he has been busy promoting Dubscover / Techscover – a party which showcases new talents across the Dubstep and Tech-house genres. The last time Zorion played at Ultraplay, it went down a treat with the crowd, who were bursting with excitement and anticipation by the end of his set!

And lastly but by no means least, we bring you STUART CROWHURST (J.A.W.) – back by popular demand! Stuart played an excellent set back in November last year, so for those of you that were lucky enough to have attended the party you will know what to expect, but for the rest of you, expect to be bouncing around the room with no self-control whilst Stuart plays his signature bass thundering sounds.

Stuart is relatively new to the London house and techno scene, however, in such a short space of time he has managed to start building a great reputation as a budding producer and DJ. With several releases under his belt and an aspiring career as a film composer, Stuart is definitely one to watch out for this year.

As usual, the party will be starting off with some nicely chilled ambient and dubby sounds from 2.30pm and it’s FREE ALL DAY! … what more could you want!? 🙂
